By uploading their products to the National Product Catalogue and enabling electronic order uploads directly into their ERP system, manual entry errors were eliminated. Additionally, the EDI system enhanced stock management, allowing Ecostore to adopt Just-In-Time (JIT) practices, significantly reducing stock levels and optimizing resources.

Product Upload to National Product Catalogue: We assisted Cook Medical in uploading their products onto the National Product Catalogue through EDIStech’s partner, Bizcaps.

Electronic Order Uploads: Customer orders are now uploaded electronically into Cook Medical’s ERP system, completely eliminating the need for manual order entry.

Enhanced Stock Management: All stock entries are now processed electronically, providing faster and more accurate information on stock levels. As a result, Cook Medical has been able to implement Just-In-Time (JIT) methodology, significantly reducing stock levels.
Cook Medical Is Now Delivering Critical Medical Devices To Hospitals Faster
The level of automation EDI brings to the ordering process has made it an easy sell to Cook Medical’s customers. With Purchase Orders based on accurate information and in XML format, they are picked up by our ERP system without anyone touching them at our end. Orders are instantly forwarded to Cook Medical’s distribution centre where a Picking List is printed and from where the customer is sent an automated reply with shipping details. This is followed up by an EDI invoice sent electronically to the customer once the shipment is sent.
